
We are happy to announce that our JingleDog 5k 2020 will be an in-person race!
We have a solid Covid-19 preparedness plan in place. This plan has been approved by the Summit County Health Department and the Summit County Metro Parks.
JingleDog is a 5k and 1-mile fun run through the beautiful trails of Firestone Park.
This 5k is an annual RunningDog fundraiser. RunningDog is a volunteer program in Summit County OH whose mission is to keep the adoptable dogs physically active, mentally stimulated and emotionally balanced using a running and mentoring program. All funds collected help us recruit, train and equip runners to help us in our mission.

We encourage our runners to bring their furry family member and take advantage of our dog-friendly race.
Choose the “I’m bringing my dog!” add-on during registration. We will have questions for you!
And if you don’t have a dog, don’t worry…we will have plenty of holiday cheer for humans too!
Virtual Option
Our virtual option comes with its own perks!
Your swag will be mailed to you by Dec 12 and this will include any items bought from our JingleDog Store.
You are also welcome to join us at the finish line on Dec 12 to get your hot cocoa, holiday cookie and pictures with Santa!
Just make sure to choose the Pictures with Santa add-on during registration.
You are also invited to join us for our online Costume Contest! You will find this add-on during registration.
Sponsor an Adoptable Dog!
Can’t attend but still want to help the adoptable dogs in the community?
Choose our sponsor option and we will show an adoptable dog a great time…on your behalf!
Your donated funds will sponsor a RunningDog Runner to bring an adoptable dog to JingleDog. This dog will be promoted with a special photo shoot during the race and will be entered into the costume contest. We will also have a gift bag filled with toys and treats for each sponsored dog.
The dogs that are available to come to our race will be from One of a Kind Pet Rescue, Maggie’s Mission and dogs that are currently in foster homes.
You are also invited to come to our finish line festivities at Tuscarawas Meadows! If you have a furry family member at home and would like to take advantage of our Santa Photo shoot, choose that option during registration.
If you would like to enter your furry family member (of the canine variety!) in our Virtual Costume Contest, you are more than welcome! Make sure to choose that option in the “add-on” page.
Or even if you don’t have a canine companion you are welcome to join us at the finish line. It’s a great time!

Costume Contest
To register for our virtual costume contest choose this add-on during registration.
This contest will be held ONLINE and via email.
Submission for this contest will be judged by the RunningDog board of trustees and prizes will be announced online. Photos must be submitted between November 26 (Thanksgiving!) and midnight December 5.
Details will be emailed to you after registration.
All prizes will be given out on race day.
(If our winners are virtual participants, these prizes will be shipped.)

Pictures with Santa
We will be offering socially distanced canine pics with Santa!
If you would like to have your furry family member included in a picture with Santa, choose this add-on during registration.

Swag
All 5k and 1-mile registrants will receive a tech neck/face gaiter and a super cool 2020 Medal!
We also have a cozy fleece gaiter option at a discounted price.
This gaiter (or your choice of face covering) will be required at the starting line and at our finish line refreshment station.
We have extra gear available for purchase in our JingleDog Store! Long sleeve cotton shirts, a comfy cozy hoodie and a super cute bandana for your furry running partner!

Cancellation/Refund Policy
No refunds will be issued for this race.
In the event that our permit for this race is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control, all registrations will be transferred to the virtual option.
In the event of this race transferring to virtual, packet pickup will stand as it is. If you would like your packet shipped to you in the case of this virtual transfer we will have that option available for a small fee.
If this race goes virtual, we will work with Summit Metro Parks on a plan to keep some holiday cheer on Dec 12!
